AKA Emmanuel Lopez
Mexican born, L.A based graphic and brand designer Memel has a long standing relationship with visuals. Starting from his teenaged years when he would compulsively edit and program his MySpace page, to small design jobs on the side of his culinary school career (yes, he is also a great cook), later a BFA in Visual Communication from one of Mexico City’s best design schools, CENTRO, and 6 years of diverse work experience has consolidated his passion and drive to making visuals that represent brands in a unique and fun way.
Before immigration to the Los Angeles area, Memel worked in a range of branding studios within Mexico City, most notably his 3 year partnership with Bang Buro, a highly recognized brand and streetwear design studio known for it’s cutting edge and innovative approach to visuals.
Memel’s passions include looking for ways to represent brand values with bold and impactful graphics, exploring different medium through which visual communication can be integrated, video games, emoji art and long walks on the beach.
